Diet and Exercise Among College Students: Combatting a Sedentary Lifestyle

Why we chose this topic?

As a team, we decided on this topic because we felt it was important and relevant to where we’re now in our lives. A lot of college students struggle with maintaining a healthy work-life balance while they’re in school, and that can really have negative effects on a lot of different aspects in their lives. Sure, students are aware that exercise and a healthy diet is important for them, but they might not be aware of HOW important it is and how it can affect so many other things in their lives. As a team, we wanted to touch on why physical activity and diet are important, different ways students can incorporate it into their daily lives, and the effects having a sedentary lifestyle can have on someone.

About Us 

We are a group of college students providing information, proving that maintaining a healthy active lifestyle throughout college can have many benefits. These benefits are just as positive as losing weight or being able to hit a personal record. The benefits of maintaining this lifestyle can help in the classroom, keep your attitude positive, and potentially give a new perspective on college. Being college students we find ourselves caught up in our own work, but with personal experiences and other recorded data, we are able to show everyone that although it may be hard at times to hold yourself accountable for being healthy, it will pay off in the long run.
